Foreword

I won't bore you with a "Hello World" post, you've seen far too many. I haven't the time. There is a vast ocean out there and I have nothing but my keyboard, the internet, and a few sparse hours to navigate this bulking, burning, broken, beautiful thing known as Android.

This place will be my ship's log. To write in what I must for anyone who find it, for I very well expect to sink and drown. If you're reading this I'm barely treading water. 

In the beginning I installed Android Studio. Then I free'd up space on my shrinking HD. Then I tried again...

Most of my first days in android were spent updating. The rest of the time was spent compiling.

There is no substance in this post, there will be the next time.
